The Cultural and Social Association “Diwan” is an independent, non-governmental organization founded in France by a group of Persian-speaking writers and social activists. Its headquarters are located in Paris.
This exiled association was established with the aim of promoting culture and defending human rights. Supporting the presence and activities of writers, artists, and academics is among our core objectives.
In this regard, “Diwan” advances its mission through the creation of a publishing branch and the organization of conferences, festivals, training workshops, and literary gatherings focused on poetry and storytelling.
“Diwan” is also committed to preserving both tangible and intangible cultural heritage and uses available media platforms to share this heritage with the public.
The principles of human rights, as well as special attention to the role and rights of women, play a central role in shaping and implementing all our programs.
