About Us

The “Diwan” Cultural and Social Association is a non-governmental and independent organization founded by a group of Persian-speaking writers and social activists in France, with its headquarters in Paris.
This exiled association was established with the aim of promoting culture and supporting human rights. Supporting the presence and activities of writers, artists, and academics is one of our core objectives. In this regard, “Diwan” facilitates the advancement of these goals through its publishing division and the organization of conferences, festivals, workshops, and poetry and storytelling gatherings.
“Diwan” strives to preserve both tangible and intangible cultural heritage and introduces them to audiences using available media.
Human rights principles and particular attention to the status and rights of women have always played a central role in the formation and implementation of our programs.
